About this blog

We are a group based at the Clinical & Translational Science Institute (CTSI) at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).  We use web and other technologies with the goal to accelerate biomedical research within UCSF and nationally.  On this blog , we brainstorm on how a variety of web and other emerging technologies can be used to foster collaboration and communication, catalyze connections, and share data.  We also share tips, tools and lessons learned with our various intersecting communities of interest.

CTSI was created to accelerate biomedical research and ensure that the best health solutions reach patients and the community as quickly as possible. UCSF’s CTSI is part of a national consortium, the Clinical & Translational Science Awards (CTSA) network of 60 of the nation’s top biomedical research institutions, working collaboratively with the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) of the National Institute of Health (NIH).
